AREA MARCH OF DIMES FUNDRAISING EVENT EXCEEDS NATIONAL RECORD

Stamford, CT - (December, 2003) - Carl R. Kuehner III and Paul J. Kuehner of Norwalk's Building and Land Technology were recently honored at the eighth annual March of Dimes Fairfield County Real Estate Breakfast held at The Westin Stamford Hotel, One First Stamford Place in late December. This event, the largest of its kind in Connecticut history, was attended by over 700 guests from the real estate industry and corporate communities and raised over $285,000. A distinction, according to a March of Dimes representative, that earned it the title of the "top Real Estate Breakfast" for the charity nationwide.

The Award Committee Chairman, Ed Tonnesson, Executive Vice President of Albert B. Ashforth, Inc., thanked the sponsors, committee and attendees for their unprecedented support. He applauded the honorees for their "commitment and dedication to improving the lives of childrenÉ both regionally and as far away as Haiti...through the Kuehner's family-run charity "Hope for Haiti".

Carl R. Kuehner III, Building and Land Technology President and CEO, said he, along with the other speakers, Larry Gold, CEO of the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Senator Christopher J. Dodd, Congressman Christopher Shays, and Mayor Dannel Malloy, "embraced the goals of the March of Dimes to increase public awareness of the problems of prematurity and the need to join forces to decrease the rate of pre-term birth in the United States".

Building and Land Technology Senior Vice President and CFO, Paul J. Kuehner, stated it was "indeed an honor to have been selected by the committee" and that he hoped the success of the breakfast would serve as an "inspiration to all that individuals working together can make a difference in this world".

A second-generation real estate development company, Building and Land Technology has completed ventures worth more than $1 billion as developers, builders and historic redevelopers. Their numerous office parks, apartment complexes, single family subdivisions, common interest communities and adaptive reuse projects are located throughout Fairfield County and on the West Coast. Current developments in Connecticut include the Towers at Merritt River in Norwalk (two Class A+ office buildings totaling 650,000 square feet), Buckingham in Avon (a community of 200 single-family homes) and Arlington Woods in Danbury (100 luxury townhomes).
