HARBOR POINT'S FIRST RENTAL PROJECT FILLS QUICKLY
Over 100 Leases at Stamford's Historic Lock Factory in 2 Months.
Stamford, CT -- (June 22, 2010) Building and Land Technology, the developer of Harbor Point, announced today that the project's first major residential component, The Lofts at Yale & Towne, had already leased more than 100 apartments since opening in May. Built within the renovated factory building where padlocks were manufactured for over a century, The Lofts at Yale & Towne (www.ytlofts.com) are conveniently located between Connecticut's busiest train station and Stamford's renewed waterfront.
Carl R. Kuehner III, President and CEO of Building and Land Technology, said he was delighted, but not surprised by the strong interest. "These apartments are unique to the area. They feature exposed brick and wood, 9-foot windows, include condominium finishes and Class A amenities, and are just a short walk from the train," commented Kuehner.
With the demand for rental properties in the City's South End so high, Building and Land Technology has just made application for another 330 apartments at the Yale & Towne complex at Harbor Point. Coupled with the Lofts, that will bring the total number of rental units centered in the historic area to over 550.
In addition, on the Westside of the Harbor Point development, another rental community is rising on the edge of a 4-acre park. Called 101 Park Place, this 15-story structure will offer great views of Long Island Sound and the City skyline, concierge services, a 6th floor pool deck and a host of amenities.
According to Kuehner, "101 Park Place will be the home of Stamford's premier rental residences. It will join Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, the NYC green grocer Fairway Market, Cornell University, the apartments and shops at Yale & Towne and so much more in what everyone is calling 'The New Stamford".
