ROBERT HARTT JOINS BUILDING AND LAND TECHNOLOGY

Norwalk, CT - (February 9, 2009) - Building and Land Technology President and CEO, Carl R. Kuehner, III announced today that Robert W. Hartt has joined the firm as Executive Vice President. According to Kuehner, "Bob's 25 years of diverse real estate experience gives Building and Land Technology greater capacity to take advantage of opportunities we foresee in the market. Bob is a strategic addition to our company and we are very excited to have him on our team." Among other responsibilities, Mr. Hartt will oversee the management of BLT's portfolio of over 4,000,000 square feet of Class A commercial office properties and he will head up its recently formed BLT Solutions division, which is presently assisting several banks, hedge funds and private equity firms with their troubled assets.

Before joining BLT, Mr. Hartt was Executive Vice President of Albert B. Ashforth, Inc., where he was responsible for the overall operation of the company's 3.2 million square foot real estate portfolio. Prior to that, Mr. Hartt was a vice president at Sumitomo Life Realty in New York where he restructured the debt and equity positions of a $1.5 billion portfolio of trophy office buildings. In addition, Mr. Hartt repositioned a diverse portfolio of real estate loans and assets throughout the country as an asset manager for J.E. Robert Companies in Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Hartt holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and holds a J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University in Washington D.C.

He is director of the Stamford Energy Improvement District, director of the Real Estate Finance Association of Fairfield/Westchester, director of the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford and a past president of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Southern Connecticut.
